Join Sarah for a day learning how you can use stamps and fabric paint to design your own unique fabric. I’ll also have examples of how you can use these fabrics.
No prior experience is required, but if you have printed before feel free to join me for a day refreshing your enthusiasm. You will be provided with a kit that includes stamps I have made for you to use on the day and afterwards. I’ll explain how these stamps are made so you can make your own and I’ll give ideas about how you can progress this further when you get home.
I will also demonstrate other methods that you may wish to explore further.
We will use a range of cotton fabrics: plain, coloured and patterned.
Don’t be afraid – come and give it a try in a relaxed, friendly environment.
My great aunt introduced me to English Paper Piecing when I was about 7 years old and I’ve always sewn since then. I bought my first sewing machine at 18 and have not been without one since.
My interest in patchwork and quilting was revived when I moved to Market Bosworth. I then started to move more towards textile art and found I could be more creative.
I demonstrate at the annual Market Bosworth Quilt Show in June and was recently selected to represent Region 10 of The Quilters Guild at 2017 Festival of Quilts in the ‘In The Spotlight’ exhibition. I am also a member of EMCT (East Midlands Contemporary Textile) Group.
